The Harlingen Neighborhood Food Pantry has received  a grant of $260,055.00 from the Legacy Foundation for a 50' x 100' building to be built at 208 E. 9th Street, Harlingen, TX. The new building will allow the pantry to operate as a covered drive-through and/or as a walk-in distribution with client choice. Since the onset of Covid in 2020, the Pantry has maintained its weekly operation with an open drive-through only. Due to the Legacy foundation's interest in a new building, the Pantry will have a home of its own. A groundbreaking ceremony will be announced in the near future.
