Approximately 70,000 pounds of food are distributed each month from the Food Bank RGV and other food donations.
The Harlingen Neighborhood Food Pantry opened on
May 16, 2001
Each family may
receive food once per month.
Homeless receive food every week.
The cost of operating the
food pantry is about $4,000
per month.
Our volunteers spend a total of 1,200 hours per month doing the work of the pantry.
We serve approximately 800 families per month.
